Emotional



What emotion rules your life? We all have one or more. Is it depression? Anger and Rage? Frustration? Anxiety? Lonliness? Grief? Worry? I could go on and on.

The devil and his demons are very sneaky in the way they use this tool. As christians who are trying to walk in the title that was given to us as a gift, the gift of righteousness, we can easily get frustrated in our commitment to walk with God for eternity. The enemy knows just when to pull this card. It's always when we're feeling on top of the world and finally feeling like maybe, just maybe, this journey with God isn't going to be as hard as we thought.

But then you come across something that indicates your spouse has been unfaithful, AGAIN, and you lose it. You call them every name in the book and then some. You maybe even get a little physical and want to hurt them.

Or your kid comes home looking drunk or stoned from partying all night with a crowd you don't exactly approve of and you go off. You say things you later regret and realize you've made the situation worse instead of better.

Or it could be that something is always trying to pull you down and causing you to fall in a state of depression. Joy never lasts for long and it's even a struggle to get out of bed to face another day. Suicide is a frequent entertained thought.

It could be that nights are not your favorite time of the day. You dred the thought of another lonely night looking at infomercials and wondering if this is your lot for life. You eventually compramise yourself and your relationship with God out of desperation.

These emotions are not from God and they usually lead to sin and then death. Death in our spirit and sometimes even physical death. This is all part of the devils plan, his ultimate plan. To steal, kill, and destroy. He comes to steal the assurance, peace and joy that Jesus places in us, kill the destiny set for us before we were even in the womb, and then to totally destroy us and sift us as wheat.

Family, the enemy and his helpers are setting up camp 24/7 to violently attack and kill you, not only spiritually, but physically. This thing is more serious than you think and if you're not careful to stay sober and gaurd your heart, you will be defeated day after day until your walk is no longer with God.

We no longer have room for double-mindedness and lukewarmness. We must be as Joshua and decide this day whom we will serve. If we are loveing God with our whole hearts as we should and serving Him as we should, the enemy will not have room to enter into our lives as he did before.

Our emotions is a suttle but effective tool that he uses to bring us down. Our Father in Heaven has given us numerous ways to avoid the snare and traps of the devil.

1. Free Will- Decide today if you will be a lukewarm christian or a sold out christian. Will you choose life or death today? Give God your everything and surrender all to Him, letting go of your fleshly desires and sins that you secretly want to hold on to because it's been your security blanket in bad times. God can begin to fully come into your life and change things and you. But as long as you hold on to these things, the devil and his demons have every right to operate in your lives and continue to cause havic and misery.

2. Bible-Based Church- Make sure you are in a church where man is not glorified, but God is. Make sure this church is doing what Jesus did when he walked the earth. A church that deals in total deliverance and they teach the true word of God, nothing added and nothing taken away. You should see an evident change in your life in no less than 6 months. If they are teaching, "Once saved, always saved" this is not a bible based church.

3. The Word- Begin to read your word as if your life depended on it, because it does. This alone will change you from the inside out. Meditate on it day and night as commanded in the bible. And remember, its not about how much you read. It's about understanding it and letting God bring revelation that will begin to give you a new heart and new mind. Sometimes its good to take one passage and meditate on it one week until it's part of you. Always pray for God to speak to you and bring revelation before you start to study the Bible.

4. Prayer- Prayer is an intimate time with God to commune and talk with Him. Remember we are made in His image and likeness. He is real and wants to be spoken to as such. Just talk to God from your heart, not religiously. God answers sincere prayer. Speak to Him as your loving Father. And its ok to remind Him of His promises to you. Praying His word is good too because He says that His word will not return void. God cares about everything in your life and wants you to know He is there and will never leave you or forsake you. He loves you and wants to give you the desires of your heart. Just ask.

5. Praise and Worship- If you haven't already, begin to invest in some worship cd's, Music that puts you right in the presence of God. Play them in your car constantly. Play them in your house constantly. Worship should not only be in church but something we do several times a day. It's what we were created to do. It's something that should be natural. Praise is bragging on our Father and letting Him know how much we love Him and how we can't live life without Him. It's exalting Him and blessing His name. God loves to be in the environment of praise. God's glory comes with His presence. Miracles happen when He is present. This does not have to just be on Sundays and bible study, You can have this everyday of the week. I'm telling you what I know.

6. Faith- As you begin to do the things above, your faith will begin to grow. The more you do the things above the more your faith will grow and the quicker doubt will leave and the enemy will not be able to lie to you so easily and trip you up as he did before. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. As your faith grows, you will believe God when He says there is nothing impossible with Him. The limitations of your life will be removed and God can begin to peel away the layers one by one to bring you into a place of wholeness.

 

7. Authority- Whoever said, "once you are a christian everything in your life will be perfect" lied! That is a lie from the devil. Because we are christians we are attacked by Satan and his agents consistantly non-stop. But the good news is we have all authority over them and all we have to do is bind them, tie them up, and command them to leave our lives forever, but just like they are camped against us contiually setting traps and snares, we must be warriors ready to go to battle daily. God says in His word that He teaches our hands to war. Begin to ask God to teach you how to fight against your adversaries and win, but remember your fight is not against people, but principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

8. Tithes and Offerings- This a subject that is very important in the life of a christian because Satan seems to hit us the hardest in our finances. I'm not asking for any money, so I have no agenda. Do you struggle in your finances? Does it seem like no matter how much money you get or make, it's never enough? When you do make some money and think you're finally going to get caught up, something happens, like your car breaks down and you have to spend that money to get it fixed, or you can never keep a job. Everytime you get two steps ahead, something happens that knocks you 5 steps back. It all has something to do with your commitment to the commandment given in Malachi 3. Read it and take it to heart. God says to bring all the tithe into the storehouse, so there will be meat in His house. God does not need your money. God wants to bless you and your finances. When you give God 10% of the first fruits of all money you recieve, you are showing Him that He can trust you. This is the one thing in the bible He says to test Him in. He promises if you bring your tithes and offerings that he will protect your finances and open up the windows of heaven to pour you out blessings you do not have room enough to recieve. If you are faithful in your tithes, God will be faithful in His promise. But why would He bless you with millions if He cant even trust you to return to Him only 10%. If you haven't been doing this faithfully, start now! The tithe is the first of whatever money you recieve. If you spend some of your wages and then give God the 10% of what you have after spending some of your money, it is not a tithe, it is only an offering. You must take out God's money first, then He will protect and bless what is left. Put God first! Not only in your tithes, but in everything and He promises that all things will be added unto you.

Sincere Prayer: Emotional





 
Father, I want to be lead by Your Spirit, not my emotions. Help me to spend more time with You so that my spiritual eyes will be opened to any traps and schemes of Satan. As I seek You more and more, renew my mind and heart. Help me to think like You think, talk like You talk, and walk like You walk. Give me a heart like Yours and a mind like Yours. Remove anything that the enemy has been using for generations to hinder my family and me. Forgive me for times I allowed my emotions to have their way. Now I ask that You have Your way. Fill my heart and soul with Your Holy Spirit. Remove any anger, depression, lonliness, thoughts of suicide, jealousy, frustration, irritation, worry, quick temper, anxiousness, impatience, insecurity, and grief. Replace all of these negative emotions with Your positive emotions; love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, meekness, and temperance (self-control). Teach my hands how to war so that I can fight the enemy and win when he does try to attack using my emotions. Today I choose life and as for me and my house we will serve You and only You from this day forward. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

I Will Die Today!


I once heard a famous pastor say something to the effect of, "It's easy to die to self. Just don't do the things that you want to do that separates you from God." And at that particular time I just happened to be going through a battle with my flesh. There was something I had been engaging in and enjoying, but knew that it went against everything God was for and everything God was doing in my life.

I thought about what the pastor had said, and decided and made a declaration that I would no longer engage in the sin that was separating me from my beloved Father. I mean the pastor did say it was just that easy...right? WRONG! DEAD WRONG! It was not easy at all. As soon as the temptation presented itself, my flesh was too weak and could not deny it.

You see, I had allowed myself to become too entangled in this activity. It had now become a stronghold in my life and I knew then I was in trouble. It was going to take much more than just deciding and declaring over my life.

Paul went through a similar struggle in his walk with God. Read with me from The Message Bible, Romans 7:14-24

14-16 I can anticipate the response that is coming: “I know that all God’s commands are spiritual, but I’m not. Isn’t this also your experience?” Yes. I’m full of myself—after all, I’ve spent a long time in sin’s prison. What I don’t understand about myself is that I decide one way, but then I act another, doing things I absolutely despise. So if I can’t be trusted to figure out what is best for myself and then do it, it becomes obvious that God’s command is necessary.

17-20 But I need something more! For if I know the law but still can’t keep it, and if the power of sin within me keeps sabotaging my best intentions, I obviously need help! I realize that I don’t have what it takes. I can will it, but I can’t do it. I decide to do good, but I don’t really do it; I decide not to do bad, but then I do it anyway. My decisions, such as they are, don’t result in actions. Something has gone wrong deep within me and gets the better of me every time.

21-23 It happens so regularly that it’s predictable. The moment I decide to do good, sin is there to trip me up. I truly delight in God’s commands, but it’s pretty obvious that not all of me joins in that delight. Parts of me covertly rebel, and just when I least expect it, they take charge.

24 I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. I’m at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn’t that the real question?

That was too real, but that is exactly how I was feeling and that was my sincere question; "Is there no one who can do anything for me!?"

Paul finally figures it out as did I and answers his own question in the next verse. Read with me:

25 The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does. He acted to set things right in this life of contradictions where I want to serve God with all my heart and mind, but am pulled by the influence of sin to do something totally different.

I begin to repent and cry out to God like never before, asking Him to restore me back to Himself, and guess what, Beloved? He did just that.

If you are going through this spiritual battle in your life, I encourage you to repent (read Psalm 51 as a guide) and then with sincerity cry out to God for deliverance and restoration. He will come through. Only the power of God can get you through this. I am a witness and you've just read my testimony. God loves us too much to leave us where we are. Because of His power I can die to self today. I have prepared a prayer for you below. Please don't leave this site before you pray this sincere prayer. Sincere Prayer: Lord Restore Me Back To You


Father, I love You with all my heart, but I am weak...so weak.

I have gotten myself into a situation that only You can pull me out of. I need Your strength, Your mercy, and Your Love to guide me back to the path You've started for me. Forgive me, Lord as I confess my sins to You (specifically call out your sins to God). I ask that You renew my heart within me, and restore our relationship. Make me the apple of your eye once again and never take Your Holy Spirit from me. Wash me, cleanse me, and make me to be holy before You so that I can feel bold in ministering to Your people once again. I love You, Lord and can do nothing without You. Thank You for hearing my cry for deliverance and restoration. In Jesus' mighty name amen.

The Supernatural Woman


A capable, intelligent, and virtuous woman-who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above rubies or pearls. (Proverbs 31:10 AMP)

I hear the phrase, “super woman” all the time. Being a super woman means that you are a skilled multitasker juggling several jobs at one time; such as family, work, household and friends. But the virtuous woman of God is a “supernatural woman”. She not only deals with adversity and day to day task of family and work; she is also the covering for her family. It is never about her.

I don’t know your story, maybe you are a young woman who has lost both parents and is left to take care of your siblings on your own while trying to juggle school, work, and home. Maybe you are a single mother raising your kids all by yourself with no help from anyone but God. Or are you that wife who is not only dealing with your own struggles as a woman, but also your husband’s and your children’s struggles as well. Whichever woman you are I am going to help you embrace her today!

What makes us supernatural is our kinship to our Father. Romans 8:14-16 the amplified versions states, “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. V-15 For [the spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage of fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father! V-16 The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God. Beloved, your only true father is Abba, YOUR FATHER in heaven. This means that you are 100% God and 100% human! You don’t handle life like any ordinary woman because of who your father is.

That is why you are able to work two jobs, help your kids with their homework, take care of home, spend time with God with maybe two to three hours of sleep and get up and do all over again the next day.

That is also why you can lose your husband, your home, your car all while being pregnant with two other kids to raise and not lose your joy, your peace, your faith or your trust in God to bring you out.

I do believe that is also why you can be used, abused, violated, and tossed out like trash but somewhere deep down in your spirit you remember that you are a proverbs 31:10 woman and your value is far above rubies and pearls. Thank You, Abba!

If this article is making you lift up your hands to thank Him, then you are a supernatural woman. Having a relationship with Jesus gives us the strength to do things that we just could not do on our own. Being a supernatural woman is not just about getting by. Its about being made whole and not lacking anything. Jesus says in John 10:10 that he came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. So we don’t lose our joy during difficult times because it also says in Romans 8:28 that all things work together for them that love God and are called according to His purposes.

Sincere Prayer: The Supernatural Woman


Abba, Father, thank you for adopting us and making us your own. Thank You for filling us with You Holy Spirit that makes us supernatural. There is nothing that we can do without You. You are our strength and our guidance through difficult times.

We also thank You for Your favor because we know without it doors would have stayed shut and never opened. We also want to thank You for those doors that You would not allow to be opened to keep us safe from going down the wrong path.

Thank You, Lord for providing for us so that we did not have to do anything that would compromise our walk with You. Thank You for covering our kids when we were not there to do it ourselves.

Thank You for filling those lonely times with Your word or just the comfort of knowing that you love us and know our situation and will not leave us like this forever. But most of all we thank You that we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us. In Jesus name. Amen.

Only For A Season


Fall is one of my favorite seasons of the year. The weather is so perfect on most days. It’s not too cold, or too hot. Nature takes on this beautiful, warm, and colorful backdrop. It makes you want to be anywhere but indoors. But eventually it must leave, and a not-so-warm season moves in.

Winter is beautiful to look at, but the weather can be very harsh. Once this season takes form it can linger for a while. After too long we are desperately anticipating some warm weather.

Walking with God is very much like these seasons. The word “seasons” can also refer to different periods in our lives. There are seasons we will love and others that we can’t wait to get through. Everybody is in a season right now in their lives whether it be good or bad. But today I want to focus on those who are going through a cold, dark, and lonely season. A season that seems as if it will never end.

I know what those seasons are like. It seems as if everyone is against you, and instead of encouraging you, they kick you while you’re down. Those very people who you were always there for are either nowhere to be found or have amnesia. Your family and some of your closest friends begin to show their true colors and reveal themselves as strangers. You suddenly realize that you are alone.

You have hit rock bottom and no one is coming to your rescue. So what do you do? Do you give up? Do you wallow in self pity and depression, and allow yourself to fall deeper and deeper into a hole? No, Beloved! You turn to the person who you should have turned to from the beginning, Jesus. Cry out to Him! Ask Him to give you strength for this season. Jesus said that He would never leave us nor forsake us. There are seasons of tribulation. Jesus said in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” You know what that tells me, Beloved? Jesus is telling us that just like Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring, this trial is only for a season. And though it wants to linger it has to end. Give God some praise for that revelation. Your winter is ending and spring is about to make your life blossom. Please don’t leave this site before you pray the prayer below asking God to guide you in this season.
