The Supernatural Woman

A capable, intelligent, and virtuous woman-who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above rubies or pearls. (Proverbs 31:10 AMP)

I hear the phrase, “super woman” all the time. Being a super woman means that you are a skilled multitasker juggling several jobs at one time; such as family, work, household and friends. But the virtuous woman of God is a “supernatural woman”. She not only deals with adversity and day to day task of family and work; she is also the covering for her family. It is never about her.

I don’t know your story, maybe you are a young woman who has lost both parents and is left to take care of your siblings on your own while trying to juggle school, work, and home. Maybe you are a single mother raising your kids all by yourself with no help from anyone but God. Or are you that wife who is not only dealing with your own struggles as a woman, but also your husband’s and your children’s struggles as well. Whichever woman you are I am going to help you embrace her today!

What makes us supernatural is our kinship to our Father. Romans 8:14-16 the amplified versions states, “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. V-15 For [the spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage of fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father! V-16 The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God. Beloved, your only true father is Abba, YOUR FATHER in heaven. This means that you are 100% God and 100% human! You don’t handle life like any ordinary woman because of who your father is.

That is why you are able to work two jobs, help your kids with their homework, take care of home, spend time with God with maybe two to three hours of sleep and get up and do all over again the next day.

That is also why you can lose your husband, your home, your car all while being pregnant with two other kids to raise and not lose your joy, your peace, your faith or your trust in God to bring you out.

I do believe that is also why you can be used, abused, violated, and tossed out like trash but somewhere deep down in your spirit you remember that you are a proverbs 31:10 woman and your value is far above rubies and pearls. Thank You, Abba!

If this article is making you lift up your hands to thank Him, then you are a supernatural woman. Having a relationship with Jesus gives us the strength to do things that we just could not do on our own. Being a supernatural woman is not just about getting by. Its about being made whole and not lacking anything. Jesus says in John 10:10 that he came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. So we don’t lose our joy during difficult times because it also says in Romans 8:28 that all things work together for them that love God and are called according to His purposes.

I love all of my strong supernatural women who never give up and this article is for you! Please read the prayer below before you leave this site. God Bless.

Sincere Prayer: The Supernatural Woman

Abba, Father, thank you for adopting us and making us your own. Thank You for filling us with You Holy Spirit that makes us supernatural. There is nothing that we can do without You. You are our strength and our guidance through difficult times.

We also thank You for Your favor because we know without it doors would have stayed shut and never opened. We also want to thank You for those doors that You would not allow to be opened to keep us safe from going down the wrong path.

Thank You, Lord for providing for us so that we did not have to do anything that would compromise our walk with You. Thank You for covering our kids when we were not there to do it ourselves.

Thank You for filling those lonely times with Your word or just the comfort of knowing that you love us and know our situation and will not leave us like this forever. But most of all we thank You that we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us. In Jesus name. Amen.

Only For A Season

Fall is one of my favorite seasons of the year. The weather is so perfect on most days. It’s not too cold, or too hot. Nature takes on this beautiful, warm, and colorful backdrop. It makes you want to be anywhere but indoors. But eventually it must leave, and a not-so-warm season moves in.

Winter is beautiful to look at, but the weather can be very harsh. Once this season takes form it can linger for a while. After too long we are desperately anticipating some warm weather.

Walking with God is very much like these seasons. The word “seasons” can also refer to different periods in our lives. There are seasons we will love and others that we can’t wait to get through. Everybody is in a season right now in their lives whether it be good or bad. But today I want to focus on those who are going through a cold, dark, and lonely season. A season that seems as if it will never end.

I know what those seasons are like. It seems as if everyone is against you, and instead of encouraging you, they kick you while you’re down. Those very people who you were always there for are either nowhere to be found or have amnesia. Your family and some of your closest friends begin to show their true colors and reveal themselves as strangers. You suddenly realize that you are alone.

You have hit rock bottom and no one is coming to your rescue. So what do you do? Do you give up? Do you wallow in self pity and depression, and allow yourself to fall deeper and deeper into a hole? No, Beloved! You turn to the person who you should have turned to from the beginning, Jesus. Cry out to Him! Ask Him to give you strength for this season. Jesus said that He would never leave us nor forsake us. There are seasons of tribulation. Jesus said in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” You know what that tells me, Beloved? Jesus is telling us that just like Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring, this trial is only for a season. And though it wants to linger it has to end. Give God some praise for that revelation. Your winter is ending and spring is about to make your life blossom. Please don’t leave this site before you pray the prayer below asking God to guide you in this season. I love you with agape love and I will see you back here on tomorrow. God bless.

Sincere Prayer: Only For A Season.

Father, I come to You asking for forgiveness for anything that I have done that was not pleasing inYour sight. Forgive me for any idols I have laid up for myself. Wash me, Lord and cleanse my heart. Forget about my transgressions and make me the apple of Your eye once again.

Father, I thank You for Your mercy and Your grace. I realize that I can do nothing without You, because when I try everything falls apart. Thank You for keeping Your hand on me even when I did not acknowledge You.

But right now I cry out for Your help and I ask You to give me strength in this trying season. Give me Your wisdom and guide me in the right directions. Provide all of my needs and surround me with people who will make a deposit into my life and not a withdrawal. I pray that my family and I will always have shelter, food and finances to get us through this season.

Most of all I pray that this season will bring me closer to You and take me to my next level in You. Reveal to me what I am suppose to learn and what I am supposed to be doing ministry wise. Again, I thank You that this is only for a season and that when it ends I will be better. In Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

A Time To Wait

There are times in our lives when we just cant understand what God is doing. He may have said no to a prayer, there may be a delay in something you thought would surely come to pass by now, Or you may be going through a trial that challenges your faith. But, Beloved we must remember the God we serve and who He is. He said that He would never leave us nor forsake us. Our God in His infinite wisdom reminds us to lean not on our own understanding but in all our ways to acknowledge Him and He would direct our paths. My understanding of that verse is that, though things may not make sense to us, God is still on the throne and He is still our Father who loves us and wants the best for us. If we just trust that our lives are in His hands He will put things in place to work in our favor. Favor! Thats right, Beloved you are favored by your father in heaven and nothing can seperate you from His love. Not your problems, not your sin, NOTHING can seperate us!

Protecting Your Mind Pt. 2

In "Protecting Your Mind Pt. 1", we learned how to put on Jesus Christ (God's Armor). But here, in pt. 2, we will learn how to protect our minds by the things we think and say.

2 Corinthians 10:5 states, "Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." There are things that God has totally delivered us from, and then there are those things that we still battle with; and this is where the fight to control our mind begins.

Before there is an action there is a thought. Now if you allow a thought to play itself over and over in your mind you will eventually act out that thought. What Paul was saying in 2 Corinthians 10:5 was that as soon as a thought occurs that can lead us down a wrong path, we should replace it with something right, which is God's Word.

Protecting our minds does take some effort on our part. Here are some steps that we can take:
  • Read God's word so that when a sinful thought enters our mind (a temptation), we will be able to recognize it for what it is and know what we should do.
  • Live in dependence upon the Holy Spirit, mainly through seeking His strength through prayer. We cannot rely on our own strength, we will fail.
  • We must not feed our minds with that which will promote sinful thoughts. Guard your heart, Beloved. This means to avoid, videos, websites, conversations, and situations that will set us up to fail. It is also smart to avoid spending time with those who would encourage us down these wrong paths.
  • We are to pursue God aggressively, substituting godly pursuits and mindsets for sinful thoughts.
  • Fellowship with other christians, Fellow christians who will encourage us in our walk with Christ, who will pray for and with us, and who will hold us accountable in avoiding our old ways.
  • Last but most important, have faith in Christ as Savior from our sin.

The last part of this teaching is very essential. Solomon made it plain and simple in Proverbs 18:21, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." WOW, what a revelation! The words we speak can either promote life or they can promote death. You can eat the fruit of life or the fruit of death. I don't know about you, but I will be watching every word that comes out of my mouth from this day forward.

It's time to get out of the habit of complaining and saying that you are broke, and that things never go right for you. Begin to speak victory. Say, "I am pleasing to the Lord and He enjoys my fellowship. I am well favored and more than able to receive His abundant provision. God's angels accompany me on my right and on my left. They shall guide me! God has determined that I shall have good success because I move in faith and in strong courage!"

Speak God's words and promises over your children, your body, your finances, your day, and your situation. Choose life today, Beloved. Take control of your mind so that you will eat the fruit of abundance, God's abundance.

This ends our teaching on "Protecting Your Mind" and I pray that it has blessed your life in a life changing way. It has definitely blessed me. I love you, Beloved. God bless.

Protecting Your Mind Pt. 1

Taking control of our thoughts can be a very challenging thing to do, especially in our highly technological world. Provebs 4:23 states, "Above all else, guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life." The "heart" also includes the mind and all that proceeds from it.
I have also struggled in this area. There were times I would get busy with my day to day life, and I found myself going a couple days without spending any time with God. I would feel depressed and did not know why, or I would have the urge to do things I had'nt wanted to do since before I was saved.

The problem was that I had not taken the time out to feed myself spiritually. Ephesians 6:11,12 says, "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, V-12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

God's armor is more than a protective covering. It is the very life of Jesus Christ himself, and it brings victory. "Put on the armor of light," wrote Paul in his letter to the Romans,"...clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans 13:12-14) When you do, He becomes your hiding place and shelter in the storm. This must be done daily in order to stay on the path God has for you each day.

Ephesians 6:13-18 goes on to state, "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perserverance and supplication for all the saints..."

Now let me help you break this down a little:

  • The belt of TRUTH is God's sovereignty, love, wisdom, and holiness. (Deut. 4:39, Ps. 18:1-3)
  • The breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS is Jesus Christ and His blood, which cleanses us from sin. The cross which frees us from bondage to selfish nature.
  • The sandals of PEACE is our peace through our union and ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • The shield of FAITH is our continual trust in God, His Word, and His promises.
  • The helmet of SALVATION is God's promises of daily eternal salvation in Jesus Christ.
  • The sword of the Spirit, HIS WORD, is the power of God's Word to counter deception and triumph over spiritual foes.

This concludes Pt. 1 of Protecting Your Mind. Below is a prayer that you can begin to pray out loud daily. Putting on the armor of God is your first step in protecting your mind. Join me tomorrow for Protecting Your Mind Pt. 2. May God continue to bless you in your relationship with Him. God bless, Beloved.
